An unusual 1936 Duncan Yo-Yo Winner patch. The surface on the front of the patch looks and feels similar to a flocked velvet surface. The patch has a stiffness that makes it "feel" like a plastic backing panel was pressed between the backing cloth and the front surface; very unusual and the only Duncan patch made this way, that I'm aware of.

Very hard-to-find.

Note the unique shape of the letters "O" in "YO-YO." Their shape is identical to those used in this 1935 Duncan Winner patch.

Duncan made at least three different styles of 1936 Winner patches. Besides the style in this exhibit, there also exists the following two styles:

• 1936 Duncan Winner patch, traditional style, hyphen in "Yo-Yo", heavy cotton backing cloth.
• 1936 Duncan Gold Seal Winner patch, no hyphen in "Yo Yo", felt backing cloth.
