The near undersized Ombre Minnow was a wooden, fixed axle yo-yo made by Catch & Release. It was released several times but in limited quantities of ten or less at a time. Handpainted by Aubrey Borowitz who goes by "pinkandsoft" on Instagram. Came packaged in a very small brown Chinese take-out box with a thin wire handle, two small "grease" stains on one box flap, one string, one Catch & Release-branded sticker, and the yo-yo.
Catch & Release was a small boutique maker of fixed axle, wooden yo-yos, based out of Western Pennsylvania. They began in the late Summer/early Fall of 2017. However, as of Fall 2018, Catch & Release had not made or sold any yo-yos for more than six months. They are considered out of business now. Their website (still live) was https://catchandreleaseproject.bigcartel.com and their Instagram account (now decommissioned) was https://www.instagram.com/catchandreleaseyoyos/
Original retail price: $25 US.
