Tiger Electronics' Pikachu yo-yo that flashed red and green LED lights when you threw a sleeper. As with all Tiger Electronic yo-yo, this model featured a standard size body with a roller bearing (transaxle) axle system. It was released at the height of popularity for Pokemon and yo-yos in 1999.
Tiger Electronics, founded June 15, 1978, was an independent American toy manufacturer based out of Vernon Hills, Illinois. They were well known for releasing a variety of handheld electronic games, and for Furby and Giga Pets. They were also adept at combining electronics with licenses such as Star Wars and Pokemon, and their very own Furby line. Many of these pop culture icons were combined with yo-yos during the last yo-yo boom which occurred around 1998-2001. The Tiger Electronics brand ended 2012 and was absorbed into Hasbro.
