A replica wooden 1932 Steiff yo-yo manufactured by Holgate Toys and branded for Steiff. The yo-yo isn't an exact replica. It does not have a second set of dots painted in another color on each halve like the original. Instead, the replica has a yellow background with a swirl of red dots and letters. The original has the same thing but with an additional swirl of letters and dots in black or dark blue. See "Bear, yo-yo, and box" picture. The dimensions of the box suggests that a bear may have also been included with the original yo-yo in the early 1930s.
Yo-yo came in an black embroidered cloth drawstring pouch along with a rubber coaster on which you could display the yo-yo.
This replica yo-yo was sold with an accompanying Steiff North American exclusive release of "Hansel - The Baby Face Bear" about June, 2006. The bear, which also came in its own black, embroidered cloth drawstring pouch, and yo-yo were limited to 1500 pieces each.
