The Screamer is an all-metal yo-yo with a "trick string". It is one of the last tin whistling yo-yos that have been made. This model was made from the about 1967 to 1972. Festival Products originally marketed this product. The Screamer was a whistling yo-yo made of tin in the "Duncan Tournament Shape". Airholes in the rim cause a whistling sound when the yo-yo spins. The blister card carried a pre-printed retail price of 69 cents. In this case, the price was torn from the upper-right corner of the card.

Festival Toys, from this time period, were made by Union Wadding Company of Pawtucket Rhode Island. This yo-yo is still in its original--though a bit damaged--packaging that had quite a "psychedelic" look to it. Easy to date!

Original retail price: 69¢ US.
