This is an example of the yo-yo's made by longtime Duncan demonstrator and independent performer Larry Sayco. Mr. Sayco made this traditioal plastic yo-yo for me in his Rhode Island workshop, using the molding and pressing machines he acquired in the 1960's, and even twisting a cotton string using a machine of his own invention. While once they were more widely available, Mr. Sayco now only sells these yo-yo's directly at events where he performs. Though difficult to make out against the intense sparkle-silver plastic, the back half of the yo-yo is engraved with the signature of its creator.
