Some yo-yo contests were sponsored by soda pop beverage companies including Pepsi, Coke, 7-Up, Dr. Pepper, Dad's Old Fashioned Root Beer. Candy companies were even known to sponsor Duncan yo-yo contests, such as Lucky Horseshoe Mints (coming soon!) and Bonomo's Turkish Taffy.
