The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

A large Cheerio Official Champion double wing patch in navy blue felt with red and white embroidery, from the early to mid 1950s, USA. The patch is 260 mm wide × 130 mm tall. Cheerio award patches were almost always made from felt and were not color-fast. Never try to clean a Cheerio felt patch.

Compare this patch with the Cheerio Official Champion double wing page in red felt with navy blue and white embroidery, from the same time period. Note that CHEERIO is embroidered in italicized lettering on both the navy blue and red versions. Oddly enough, Cheerio made a second red version that has CHEERIO in block lettering, instead. A very subtle difference in letter styling. Whether a second navy blue version, also with CHEERIO in block lettering exists in unknown.

See this same patch being worn by Canadian yo-yo demonstrator Allan Howard Graff circa 1952. Mr. Howard toured the USA as a Canadian Cheerio demonstrator in the 1950s.
