Sponsors and Curators
The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!
If you're a manufacturer, or just a big collector and you want to help support the Museum drop me at line at chimera@yoyomuseum.com

The Duncan Freehand Zero - Mid-East Regional features side caps in blue with a white imprint. These alternate side cap sets were specifically produced for sale at the 2004 Mid-East Regional Yo-Yo Contest. They were designed to fit the corresponding Duncan Freehand Zero - 2004 Mid-East Regional yo-yo.
In 2004, Steve Brown, who was working for Duncan at the time, introduced the updated Freehand Zero (FHZ) to the yo-yo community. This model was an improved version of the original Duncan FreeHand.
The contest served as a regional championship for players from six states: Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia. It was part of a larger system of regional competitions that culminated in the U.S. National Yo-Yo Contest in Chico, California
On the aftermarket, you may occasionally come across white-bodied Mid-East Regional FreeHand Zeros with alternate side cap colors, such as sky blue with a white imprint, like the ones featured in this exhibit. These are typically found loose rather than sealed in a polybag. Additionally, these special side caps may sometimes be sold as standalone sets, without the white yo-yo body.
