In 2010, SPYY (Saturn Precision Yo-Yo), based out of Calgary, Alberta, released version 2 of the Flying V Slimline 2010.

From yoyorewind.com:
"Always going against the grain, SPYY drops a slender wing yo-yo on us, a full metal tug return yo-yo.

Yo-yo trends have developed greatly over the years: the age of ball bearings, metal rims, then full metal bodies took center stage. This change isn't just a fad, these developments have become mainstream before we realized it. Rather than just accepting current trends, SPYY has given us the Flying V, a nod to our roots with a modern spin.

Whereas bind response is the current trend, the Flying V responds to a tug! Wide trapeze widths are popular, and the Flying V has a narrow catch zone and gap, the likes of which is seen on models like the Hyper Yo-Yo Mercury and Saber Raider!

But this is a strangely comforting feeling, and surprisingly easy to play with. The regenerations are smooth, it's almost like stepping in a time machine back to the old Hyper Yo-Yo days. Just the image of a tug response yo-yo is enough to get us nostalgiac, but the Flying V isn't just about rekindling our old yo-yo memories, it's a true blend of new and old.

To go back to a dead bind response, you can switch out the half spec C bearing that comes pre-installed on the yo-yo with the included full spec size C bearing. They are both oil-less, but the C size is standard large size (.250x.500x.187in) so the smoothness is like any other full metal yo-yo from there. This functionality is similar to the YoYoJam Solid Spin Axle system. Maintenance is limited to switching out strings and response pads when they wear out. If the yo-yo response isn't satisfactory, even with new pads, apply some oil to the bearing to bring it back to life with original tug response."
