Duncan Toys poster from 2001 promoting the new Duncan FreeHand. The poster features Steve Brown hanging from a metal fire escape ladder with his left hand, while holding onto the string of his FreeHand yo-yo and counterweight in the other hand. When this picture was taken, Steve was a coordinator for Duncan's yo-yo marketing and associated sales promotions.

The Yo-yo and method for using a yo-yo (aka Freehand) was covered by US patent 6371824B1 which expired April 28, 2020 after twenty years.
