The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

A one-piece maple wood Royal yo-yo from the late 1940s or early 1950s. One of the few Royal yo-yos that did not use a royal crown in the stamp or, in this case, the decal. There are four "jewels" on each halve of this simple but beautiful yo-yo in a classic tournament shape.

When the yo-yo was manufactured, the holes for the jewels were drilled first. Then, the yo-yo halves were painted. And finally, the jewels were cemented into place.
