The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

Considered a jumbo yo-yo at 71 mm diameter, this model was first available April 16, 2018 at 12 noon MST direct from the a-rt.ca website.

It's a shame there was no engraved or stamped identification added to the yo-yo.

The production numbers were 16 in pink (official color name "Strawberry") and 16 in off-white as seen in this exhibit (official color name "Affogato").

From the a-rt.ca website:
"The big boy is back.

Woodboy is a maple unresponsive yo-yo hand turned by me, Jenny Kim. I also hand painted them like a real elf.

It contains only the best parts: YoYoRecreation Double Straight ball bearing axle + One Drop Cabal response pads [From Rick: Likely a mistake. One Drop Yo-Yos does not make "Cabal" response pads. However, they *do* make "Flow Groove" response pads. The response pads are clear so the Woodboy "Internals" picture in this exhibit appears to not have any response pads installed, but they are there.]

I spent lots of time making these; my hands and feet hurt and my sinuses are full of wood dust.

They are pretty damn smooth for the most part. I'd say 80% of the runs now are where I want to be. Getting closer to ideal all the time.

Thanks for your continued support and understanding of the craft of wood. We're pioneering something special here. I'm doing my best to make this a really cool submarket for the community and hopefully even the world at large and I can't do it without you. I appreciate it/you. (I know that gets said a lot, but I mean it still.)

:)

-Jens"
