Sponsors and Curators
The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!
If you're a manufacturer, or just a big collector and you want to help support the Museum drop me at line at chimera@yoyomuseum.com

CLYW - Caribou Lodge Yo-Yo Works. On December 15, 2016, CLYW released The Gorge, a new oversized bi-metal yoyo with very high inside walls. The initial first release was available at YoYoExpert.com. Designed by CLYW owner Chris Mikulin. The Gorge is a throwback due to its high inside walls, and rounded profile. However, unlike yo-yos prior to about 2004, this version is bi-metal (aluminum and stainless steel) and is dead response. This design is what Chris Mikulin liked when he first started in the yo-yo design business that is CLYW today.
Uses CLYW "Snow Tires" for the response, and a size C Pixel ball bearing axle.
Quantities for the initial release:
- Ten all-black
- Ten half-gray & half-purple
- After the half gray & half purple sold out, CLYW released another ten of each color within about a week or so.
The M4 x 10 mm axle could be replaced with an M4 x 8 mm axle and a half spec C bearing to make the yo-yo a normal, original tug response. Total production numbers are unknown.
Designed in Canada and manufactured in China.
Collected December 15, 2016.
Original retail price: $135 US. | |
