Sponsors and Curators
The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

The location of background colors on this award was a departure from the tradition blue background on top and the red background on the bottom. Both upper and lower backgrounds are made from cloth. Some earlier 1950s Winner shields, however, have embroidered blue backgrounds in the upper portion and red cloth backgrounds in the lower portion.

See the photograph of fourteen year old Doug Larson showing the back of his jacket. In the middle is the same 1956 Winner shield that is seen in this exhibit.

See other patches on Doug Larson's jacket:
• Front of jacket - 22 trick Champ Award star
• Front of jacket - First place
• Back of jacket - Champ Award circular
• Back of jacket - 1956 Winner shield
• Back of jacket - Junior Instructor wing
