A Hummingbird-era pin with a cartoon rendering of Tom Smothers, known as the "YoYo Man."

This pin was a give-away during a yo-yo contest sponsored by Hummingbird and local kite/juggling/yo-yo store "The Air Apparent" in Salt Lake City. Dale Myberg was the judge. "The Air Apparent" changed it's store name to "Hi-Jinks". Unfortunately, it went out of business in October 2004. The store hosted semi-annual yo-yo contests for many years and was THE place for yo-yo players and supplies, including the now very rare and valuable backwards engraved Tom Kuhn yo-yos. Chuck Short got his start in yo-yoing because of Dale and this store.

Tom Smothers, The YoYo Man, passed away December 27, 2023 at the age of 86.
