That is the halves were machined so that the response surfaces for the SPR system were flush with the yo-yo halves. The Remix was the first Buzz-On model to feature their SPR axle system with a medium sized bearing. Like most of the Element X line, colors varied widely. Very many combinations of body color, weight ring color, and logo color. Pictured here is a Lime Green Remix with Gold Rings. You might notice the Rings were engraved for the 2004 Bay Area Classic, and used on a standard Remix over a year later.
