The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!

A yo-yo in the shape of a ball. Hard plastic. The yo-yo "... always comes back to you." It never needs rewinding like a traditional yo-yo. The string has a plastic ring on the end for the finger. This is in 1998 packaging which is shorter in height than the 1997 packaging. The yo-yo stock number is 60602. I believe this particular model came onto the market in 1997. Collected February 21, 2000. The original manufacturer of the YoYo Ball was Marchon and it was first sold in 1991.

This yo-yo was assigned US patent 5127868 on July 7, 1992 to Marvin Smollar of Northbrook, IL for a "Holder and controller for yo-yo type toys." Patent assignee is Marchon, Inc. of Vernon Hills, IL.
