The Turbo Bumble Bee was a huge innovation in the evolution of the yo-yo. Created by Tom and Hans Van Dan Elzen, it was the first model with a replaceable response system and first yo-yo to use Brake Pad Technology (BPT). The bearing axle with brass spacers setup was used on many yo-yos that came after, like the FreeHand, and all sorts of replaceable reponse systems appeared, all based on BPT by Playmaxx. Logo sides were simple printed cardboard inserts.

Pictured here is an early Bee. Early versions said "by Playmaxx" on the bottom of the logo. That was later replaced with Playmaxx's web address. The first Bees came packaged in a plastic box, later on they were bubble carded. Check the response view to see the Brake Pad Technology response system, and brass spacers.
