This very special FreeHand was released and sold only at the 2001 World Yo-Yo Contest. Very limited numbers were made. The Yo-Yo Ninja Boy / Worlds 2001 logo appeared only on one side. Standard FreeHand side cap on the reverse. Stock body colors were used. Reliable sources say that only 150 of these were made, but that is not confirmed.
During the original release, these were simply "FreeHands". With the release of the FreeHand 2 and FreeHand Zero, the original version is now often called the FreeHand 1 or Original FreeHand.
