The Jive is the first whistling yo-yo made since the 1970's, and the first ever high performance whistler. With a bearing axle and response system, this one plays nicely while whistling. Similar to the old Duncan Sonic Satellites, a metal whistle is built into one side, with holes drilled to it from the rims. Spinning forces air thru the holes creating the whistle.

Pictured the first pre-release of the concave version, only sold at the National Yo-Yo Contest in 2004. The production release was delayed, because the whistle was not performing as Tom Kuhn had wished. The primary view is the reverse side, because notice the slightly different logo. "Chica Chico" is added to the logo, painted on the whistle itself. That text does not appear on the final release.
