The translucent blue Duncan Freehand Zero - National Yo-Yo League yo-yo was a special edition made for the National Yo-Yo League of the United States. The goal of the National Yo-Yo League is to help promote yo-yo and encourage yo-yo competitions throughout the United States of America.
The league accomplishes this goal in the following ways:
• Helps guide the organization of state-level yo-yo contests.
• Organizes regional yo-yo contests.
• Organizes the annual National Yo-Yo Contest.
• Serves as a resource for training yo-yo contest judges.
• Builds community around yo-yo and league membership.
The National Yo-Yo League is a 501c(3) non-profit under the National Yo-Yo Museum, located in Chico, California.
The opposite side of the yo-yo's face featured the Freehand Zero logo in a blue imprint. Supposedly 500 of this model were made.
The FreeHand Zero was an updated and improved version of the original Duncan FreeHand. Size A ball bearing axle, take apart design, and Duncan Friction Stickers for response. The string gap was adjustable with two sets of shims that were included. A set of silver spacers (pre-installed) for a standard gap and original response/play. And, a set of brass spacers for a wide gap and dead response play. Also came with three collectible counterweights. In this case, a blue rubber bouncy ball, dice with an attitude, and one red dice.
