The Hi-Ker Junior Instructor patch was awarded to kids who could successfully pass-off all 22 different yo-yo tricks in front of a Hi-Ker or Cheerio demonstrator. After you were given the award, you were recognized as a yo-yo player who could teach other players any of the 22 tricks, but you could not form and hold an official Hi-Ker or Cheerio yo-yo class. Only those with the Senior Instructor patch could do that.
Hi-Ker was the unpromoted yo-yo product line from Cheerio. Hi-Ker originally started in 1931 on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
