The Official Hi-Ker Champion eagle patch from about the early to mid 1950s. Red text and blue outline all embroidered onto a thick white felt background with a mesh backing for rigidity.
Hi-Ker was the unpromoted yo-yo product line from Cheerio. Most collectors are unaware that Hi-Ker originally started about 1931 on Vancouver Island, British Columbia in the capitol town of Victoria.
Just like Cheerio and Hi-Ker, Duncan often used their own version of an eagle motif on their award patches. Their beautiful, chenille flying eagle Yo-Yo Champion patch was highly coveted by yo-yoing children in the 50s, and prized by its few winners.
