"The Slim Dunk yo-yo is a Diet Dunk. Chop shop Dunk. We took my favorite yo-yo and smooshed it.
I take a yo-yo everywhere I go. I feel naked without one. I’ve been this way for over 15 years. I’ve always wanted a perfect pocket yo-yo. Over the years I’ve tried many, and I always found that overall performance was sacrificed for the smaller size and pocketability. Oftentimes slim pocket yo-yos are designed with tug responsive play in mind. That’s great, but it’s not how I play yo-yo.
This past spring while I was on a fly fishing trip I had my Dunk with me. I was wishing it was smaller so it would fit in my waist pack easier. When I got back to the cabin I had a message from my friend Drew Tetz. He had been enjoying his Dunk and floated the idea of a slimline version. It was a sign, I had just been thinking about it earlier in the day. I wished I had been able to share the Dunk with my yo-yo hero Spencer Berry but I knew it would be too wide for him. I decided on the spot to message CJ and get the design rolling, right there from the toilet in the fishing cabin. Drew and CJ both came up with the name (I’m so dumb, I was going to call it the 'Dunk Slim') and the Slim Dunk became a reality a few weeks later.
The Slim Dunk is a pocket size yo-yo with no compromise in performance. It’s a chopsticks machine and my go-to 1A yo-yo. It plays like the yo-yos I grew up with but better. There is an adjustment period when switching from a modern bi-metal machine to the Slim, but I hope you give it a week in your pocket and let it grow on you. It’s fast and capable and fun to play with.

Yo-yo did not come with any packaging nor any string; just the yo-yo.
