The Spirit of '76 was a Royal yo-yo made for the bicentennial celebration of the USA in the summer of 1976. Red rims and clear lens side caps. Side cap depicts an image of the original flag with 13 white stars on blue background. The black words Bicentennial appear above the flag and 1776-1976 below the flag, all on a white background.

The yo-yo's shape is nearly identical to the Duncan Professional, with the exception that the outer rims on this Royal model are flatter.
