If you were a kid that glanced at this champion patch being worn on the sweater, coat, or shirt or a boy or girl, you might have mistaken it for a Duncan patch. The name Cheerio is certainly not prominently positioned on the patch, like the brand name Duncan was on their own patches. Part of this may been Cheerio's intent by design so they could compete with Duncan in the Canadian market. Note the maple leaf to the left of the eagle motif and the use of the word Yo-Yo, which was a registered trademark of Cheerio in Canada, at the time.
The patch's design is printed on thick, rubberized felt backing.
