Poster advertising a big Duncan Yo-Yo Contest Saturday, February 4 at S.H. Kress store. The year of this poster is fairly easy to deduce. Based on the advertised weekday and date and the Monark Silver King bicycle, the year is 1950. Mentions only the first names or nicknames of the two Filipino Duncan demonstrators who were going to show up to the contest: Bing and Al.

S. H. Kress was the name of a chain of "five and dime" retail department stores in the United States from 1896 through 1981. Duncan yo-yo contests were often held outside, in the front of such stores from the 1930s through the mid 1960s. And, as was the case for most Duncan contests, to enter all you needed was a Duncan yo-yo.

The poster explained one of the rules for the contest: You must win a Duncan Yo-Yo Sweater or Emblems. Unfortunately, there are no details on what would happen if you didn't win.
