The Tom Cat & The Rose pays tribute to a masterpiece. Made in celebration of supreme human achievement and landmark architectural design, Tom Cat & The Rose Limited Edition yo-yos are laser engraved with an astonishing likeness to the South Rose Window of Notre Dame, a Jewel in the Crown of one the most well known Gothic Masterpieces in the world.
Offering a mix of engineering, design and exhilarating play-time pleasure, Tom Cat & The Rose boasts a striking combination of speciality aircraft aluminium with brilliant mirror-polished façade with contrasting brushed outer rims to evoke spinning without concern for scratches.
The wing-shaped Tom Cat combines a wide string gap with an adjustability feature allowing users response adjustment, enhanced with Dr Yos proprietary Turbo Disc Technology for predictable play characteristics. This model was released December 29, 2019. It had a supposed production total of 500 pieces. I was told by a reliable, first-hand source at Tom Kuhn Yo-Yos that 75 were released with the 2019 engraving and that 425 were supposed to be released with the 2020 engraving. However, as of April 15, 2022, the 2020 engraved version has yet to be released and there was no 2021 release. It's unknown if the numbering was contiguous from 2019 to 2020 or the 2020 versions began at serial number 001 (or if the 2020 version even exists).
