The Mardi Gras No. 700 was marketed with girls in mind. As such, the Imperial-shaped halves were embedded with colorful plastic bits and silver glitter. The stamp on the No. 700 is challenging to find complete, even when they are in new condition. This exhibit shows a close-up of a near perfect stamp. The No. 700 was discontinued around mid to late 1963, while it's sibling, the Mardi Gras butterfly No. 701, continued production.

And it's only 49¢.
