"Two years ago when we released the original [aluminum] Gamer I had no idea it would become the phenomenon it is! It's a well-loved yo-yo, but it's always had one major flaw: it's a little heavy.
This time the weight is just right. It's in a sweet spot for responsive play. We tightened the gap a bit so the slim bearing plays fully responsive, great for looping or stalls. The full-sized flat C bearing (also included) is unresponsive. The yo-yo also comes with Yoyojam thick lube so you can play the optional full size C bearing semi-responsive.

Twenty-four pieces of the Gamer with white Delrin rims and black aluminum hubs were available on release day. Another 70 pieces were dyed (the Delrin rims) and made available about a month after the initial release.
