The crown symbol was a long running motif used on various Royal yo-yo models in the 40s, 50s, and 60s. The crown was occasionally depicted in monarchial fashion like the one shown on the decal in this exhibit. Other times it was a simplified design like that shown on the Royal Fire Fly, No. 88 and the Royal Tournament, No. 409.

The yo-yo itself is a one piece, fixed axle model, and made from maple. It was likely retailed from a Royal-branded yo-yo display carton.
