Cheerio Winner patch with three blue stars. The overall profile of the patch is one of a maple leaf. Cheerio originated in Canada and the Canadian maple leaf was a fitting design and symbol used on their patches and Pro 99 yo-yos. It's unknown what a player did to earn this large patch. The patch itself is red felt with white and blue embroidery. It was typically sewn onto the front of a sweater. Early Cheerio felt patches were not colorfast. As such, they should never be cleaned or washed.

See the Cheerio Winner patch worn by Frank Young, a Cheerio yo-yo champion in 1948.
