Core Concept's Qubit was originally conceived at the 2018 National Yo-Yo Contest. It was a collaboration effort with the "Scales Collective" group. The Qubit came in rose gold (pink), scales blue (dark blue), deep indigo (purple), and pale gold (see in this exhibit). It was first made available at the 2019 Worlds Yo-Yo Contest in Cleveland (rose gold and scales blue only). Then it became available on YoYoExpert's website in deep indigo and pale gold. Body is made from 6061 aluminum and uses a size C center trac bearing with an M4 x 10 mm axle. Came in a cloth drawstring bag.
Core Concept Yoyos (Core Co.) is a yoyo company started by three players with more than 40 years combined experience in the yoyo community. They strive to bring innovative and reliable products to the market as well as produce high quality content for the community.
From the YoYoExpert website:
"The idea for this collaboration was to make a yo-yo that captured the feeling of some older designs. Designs that might have strange proportions, designs that may look a little odd, and designs always had a super fun unique feel in play. The Qubit delivers that fun feel without sacrificing modern performance; The 'wider than it is tall' design is surprisingly capable and an absolute joy to throw. It plays fast and agile with all the catch zone you could ask for!"
Original retail price: $40 US
