This one was an idea that was considered for years according to Mike Burke. An aluminum bearing version of the immortal Duncan Butterfly. The idea was finally realized in 2019 under the guidance of Bryan Jardin. And it was an immediate success, selling out immediately at the 2019 Worlds where it was released, and at online stores soon after. The first release colors were Red and a Natural Aluminum version.
The logo is based upon a historic Butterfly design ... there were so many to choose from. You can see the original plastic version with this logo by clicking this link: 2010 Duncan Butterfly
These play perfectly straight out of the box. Pure fun. Undersized and responsive, they quickly became one of my favorites.
