This is a signature model of Brian Cabildo, or Glasseye, as we've known him for years. Operator of the old Glass Lab on the internet, and a leader of Duncan Team DXL.
I will let Glasseye tell the story of this unusual yo-yo from Duncan.
'The red one is a Duncan Bassacuda which was the signature yo-yo of Sebastian Brock. From what I remember Sebby and Duncan asked several people to design artwork to put on special editions of the Bassacuda.ÂÂ
I created the artwork for my version. I wanted to do a nautical theme for this because I've had a lifelong love of the ocean. On one side I put an old school diving helmet which represented me and on the other side I put a compass that represents the DXL Crew because the members span the entire globe. I believe there were between 30 to 40 released. I think they were only available at the National Yo-Yo Contest that took place that one year when it was located in Los Angeles near LAX.'
