The ShockWave 3 is Cody Taylor's signature model. The ShockWave has a composite body construction like many YoYoJam models, but with this model, the metal weight rings are attached to the face, not the rims. This led to problems with thermal cracking and the model was quickly redesigned. In fact, you can see cracks in this never played yo-yo. But this one is the first Shockwave.
There was another run of these, but in opaque plastic, which would hide the internal cracking.
