In 2003, Bird In Hand dropped the large and small shield patches, and produced this new design instead, to promote their annual National Yo-Yo Contest in Chico, CA. A round dated patch, with a shield pictured on it. Also included was the Nationals motto... "America's Best Players Wind up in Chico."
