Royal wooden Tournament Yo-Yo Top is nearly identical to their Master - No. 59 model except that the model in this exhibit has a different name, price, and model number, and the yo-yo is red with a white stripe. Same five point crown with chevron image below it as that found on the No. 59, too.
Notice the blacked out portion on the card, below the model name. The text said, "HI-IMPACT PLASTIC".
The card is pre-printed with a price of 49 cents. Many Royal cards from this same time period had a pre-printed price that was identical to the yo-yo's model number. However, the model number in this exhibit -- No. 409 -- did not quite match the pre-print price. It suggests that the model number may have been a printing mistake and should actually have been No. 49.
See the following exhibits and notice the identical model number and pre-printed price:
• Royal Tournament, No. 409, 49¢ US
• Royal - Master, No. 59, 59¢ US
• Royal - Standard, No. 69, 69¢ US
• Royal - Monarch, No. 100, $1.00 US | |
