The No. 16 BC/What's Next Cosmic Otter was Jason Tracy's signature model. It's essentially the BC/What's Next Blackbird No. 17 model just with a different bi-color and different black logos on each side. White, solid maple body with orange stripe in the inside circumference of each halve. Fixed axle. This yo-yo model was handed out by Jason Tracy during the Fiend Magazine 1999 North American YoYo Tour which was part of the "Van's 1999 Warped Tour" that travelled to various cities throughout the United States and three cities in Canada.

Supposedly, 500 were claimed to have been made for this "special edition." Historically, however, BC/What's Next yo-yo production numbers tend to be unsubstantiated and often questionable. Production numbers are usually proclaimed by people who were never privy to such information because they were not employees of BC/What's Next. As such, the claimed number of 500 is likely suspect.

This edition of yo-yo also came in an alternate version: same white body and black logos, but with a single green stripe painted across the face of each halve.
