The Edge Beyond is the seventh yo-yo model from the mini yo-yo maker 66% of Japan. Released April 4, 2019. The yo-yo is based on YoYoFactory's full-size Edge Beyond, but scaled down 69% (not 66% as this brand is usually known for). Uses a size A ball bearing axle and 66%-branded response pads.

Translated from the SpinGear website in Japanese:
We (66%) received an offer from 1A world yo-yo champion Evan Nagao [sponsored by YoYoFactory] about collaborating with 66%.

Originally, he offered EDGE, but for that yo-yo, it was hard to make the unique design by shrinking it down to 66%.

Besides, he won the 2018 World Yo-Yo Contest using the YoYoFactory Edge Beyond, but we suggested to at least try to re-create a 66% prototype.

We tried creating a prototype using the same composition as the original full-size version. That is, an aluminium body with stainless steel rings.

The rim angle is the same as the original: eight degrees.

But we tried to do more to recreate the 66% brand image, profile looks more fun, cute.

After creating different weight prototypes, Evan came to Japan, tried the prototypes, and loved them. With the prototypes, he could still perform the same award-winning routine that helped him become the 2018 World Yo-Yo Contest champion in Shanghai!

We made several different weighted prototypes, but he requested that the yo-yo have more weight added. We decided to make a prototype that was 64 grams. It was the heaviest mini yo-yo we had ever made in our product line up and, was the same weight as the full size model. Not only collective, but also competitive yo-yo from our line up.

To release a current world champion model [at least the time, in 2018] in such a short time span was our challenge."

Ultimately, the yo-yo came in multiple versions and was priced accordingly, based on material composition and finish.
