The Tom Kuhn Silver Bullet 2 (SB-2) Rosette I limited edition was first announced August 31, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. MST.
From the Tom Kuhn website and email announcement:
"SB2 Rosette -- First in a new, special edition collector's series of laser engraved SB2 aluminium yo-yos.
The SB2 Rosette takes its main inspiration from the 60s activists placing a flower in the barrel of each National Guardsmen's rifle. With impeccable laser mastery, the rosette petals beautifully and whimsically engulf the bullet point symbolically. At its centre, the TK infinity logo stakes its claim.
Engraving within the valley of each yo-yo borrows motifs from early European stained-glass artworks while paying homage to Tom Kuhn's early mandala engraved wooden models. The SB2 Rosette features bead blasted, charcoal black anodized matte finish applied to its specialty aircraft aluminium providing a perfect canvas to enhance this wonderful art.

Tom Kuhn"
To my knowledge, this is the first all matte black SB-2 since the model's debut in November 1990.
