A strange Freehand Zero, that doesn't look or feel like any other. And it has an interesting story behind it. The design is a standard Freehand Zero, but with some strange features ... protruding oddly shaped side caps, wire string, a spike for a counterweight, and even a transaxle at center, not a ball bearing.

In 2006, a film was released in Japan called "Yo-Yo Cop Girl". And it was released in 2007 in the USA. It tells the story of a character named Sukeban Deka, a crime fighter that uses her yo-yo as a weapon. Posted are pictures of her holding the yo-yo and movie posters for the film. Although I don't know why a blue capped version was released, when hers has red caps.

Another yo-yo promoting "Yo-Yo Cop Girl" is posted at the Museum by Rick Brough. It is not a Zero, but the colors are more like the one in the movie. Just Click Here to view. And thank you Rick for the packaged version of the Sukeban Freehand Zero.
