A Tom Kuhn No Jive 3-in-1 model, unfinished (raw). This model was known as the "Chuck Short" signature edition.

Chuck Short was one of the founders of Fiend magazine, a print periodical from the yo-yo boom of the late 1990s that was devoted to yo-yos and yo-yo play. He also served as its associate editor. Besides Fiend magazine, Chuck Short was a champion yo-yo player and demonstrator. He got his start in yo-yo at the 1988 Utah State Yo-Yo Championship that was hosted by his eventual mentor and dear friend, Dale Myrberg. The contest was sponsored by the Air Apparent Kite Store of Trolley Square in Salt Lake City, December 1988. I was at that contest and competed with Chuck. He performed and competed into the 90s and early 20 aughts.

It's unknown how many of this model were made; it is seldom seen for sale on the after market. The one in this exhibit was bought from Chuck Short when he retired from yo-yo demonstrating.

A challenging Tom Kuhn No Jive model to find.
