A Pocket Monster Pokemon ball that converts to a yo-yo. Made by Bandai of France. Uses a transaxle system and starburst response. Unlike other Pokemon ball yo-yos that have been made over the years by Bandai, this model was a dedicated yo-yo, meaning there were no parts to remove or add to use it as a yo-yo and a Pokemon ball.
More of a novelty yo-yo with limited functional playability. A total of three Pokemon ball yo-yos were available in this series from France.
The Pokemon ball in this exhibit is known as the Timer Ball. It is supposed to be used for catching Pokemon. For every ten turns that pass in a battle with a wild Pokemon, the chances of success for capturing the Pokemon increases. Its starting effectiveness is no better than that of a standard Poke ball.
