Lumar was a company in the UK that produced yo-yos since the 30's. Lumar produced many tin models, and later plastic. This is an example of their plastic imperial shaped model. Very different than the Duncan's in the USA. This is a hollow shell model and the inner piece is some sort of thin metal sheet material.

I can only estimate the date, but believe this one, with LUMAR in tall narrow lettering is an older version. The stamps on this model vary widely. Look closely at the back and you can see "LUMAR YO-YO" and trademark info molded raised onto the body.
