The Bayfield is a special design from Oke Rosgana of Indonesia, commissioned by myself, David Hall, in 2014. We were in the process of getting our old designs finally engraved to wood, and decided to try a few new ones. Bayfield, Colorado is a special place to me. My vacation home is located north of there, nestled in a section of Ponderosa Pines on the Pine River. Bayfield is known as the "Heart of the Pine River Valley". It seemed a design of birds, pine cones, and pine branches would be perfect.
Oke came up with two designs, one with an outer ring, one without the ring (No Ring = NR). I prefered the NR design, but everyone I asked prefered the design with the ring. So for my personal use, I included a dozen of these NR versions with the order.
Only 12 of these were made in the butterfly shape. | |
