Yoyo Studio Llama's (Japan) 2012 diminutive "Japanese Pepper" also known as "JP". A handmade bi-metal yo-yo with relatively thin-bodied stainless steel halves each with a brass weight ring press fit onto each halve. After press fitting, each ring was then cut flush with the stainless steel rim for perfect alignment and fit. The result is a very long spinning and stable yo-yo for being so small. The JP was made only according to the number of customer orders that YoYo Studio Llama received at the time of its production. So, exact production numbers are unknown. However, the fact that it is such a hard-to-find yo-yo nowadays suggests that few were made beyond what was ordered by customers. Uses a size A ball bearing axle (intentionally removed from yo-yo in photos) and YoYoJoker response pads.
Currently, of metal yo-yos around today that were publicly sold, the Sturm Panzer Mini Panzer (current – as of 2023 – world record holder for smallest working yo-yo), Turning Point Shot Glass Mini, YoYoFactory Might Flea, Rain City Skills Loonie, yoyomonster 3Points, and Aoda Little Guy have a smaller diameter than the Japanese Pepper.
Original retail price: $115 US.
