The Yomega Raider EX (EXtreme) was the answer to 2A players that wanted enhanced looping performance without the need to manually alter and modify certain aspects of the regular Yomega Raider body. What would often happen during the process of a player making modifications to the yo-yo is that the plastic body would crack. Usually when they were trying to adjust the string gap. The Raider EX model solved this issue by using the same body shape, size, and size E ball bearing as the Raider, but added the flexibility of letting you use different sized spacers to customize the string gap to within hundreths of an inch.

The five sets of colored spacers--included with the yo-yo--were apparently tested by some of the world's best loopers at the time (2007-08). The spacer sets came in the following color and corresponding widths:

Blue: .078" (widest gap setting; least responsive)
Green: .048"
Yellow: .040"
Purple: .036"
Red: .032" (thinnest gap setting; most responsive)

Besides the spacers, the package came with an extra string and a 150 trick DVD. The spacers could also be used on regular Yomega Raiders. However, the spacer sets were never sold separately.

First released March 31, 2008.

Original retail price: $20 US.
