The Hot Shot came out at the end of 2010 and was the forerunner to the Yomega Yo-Mod series Pro Speed, v. 1, BX2, and G-R that were released in October, 2012. The BX2 model is nearly identical to the Hot Shot in terms of shape and overall specifications.
The Hot Shot used clear, hollow plastic body halves. Within each halve contained an anodized aluminum ring for increased outer perimeter weight for longer spin times. Uses a size J ball bearing axle and Yomega large response pads. The package also came with two sets of spacers. One pre-installed set of spacers for traditional, responsive yo-yo play. Another set of wide gap spacers to increase the string gap width for dead, unresponsive yo-yo play. A free Yomega Mania Trick DVD was also included.
